The staff of the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library already has summer on its mind, and the 2022 Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities.”

We are already making plans for our annual “Fun & Craft Day in Abbitt Park.” Want to have a station at this event? It is a great way to advertise your business, church, organization or club. Bring lots of brochures, business cards and other forms of advertisement, to let everyone know about you.

What do we ask in return? To have a small handout, educational display, or a craft project for the kids to do. Examples would be: a free token item, a game to win a prize, something to color, something to create. Just use your imagination. Something reflecting your business would be ideal.

When is this event? This year it will be on Wednesday, June 8, setup staring at 9 a.m. and the event is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Bring a popup tent, tables, and chairs; and if you do not have these items, ask for spot to be reserved for you under the awning or in the shade, and we will do our best.

This annual event draws over 500 patrons and is a great way to do some community outreach. If you want to be a part of the fun just contact me at the library and I will add you to our list of vendors.
