Appomattox Raider cross country runners compete at regional, national level

Appomattox Raiders cross country runner Clay Hamilton competed at the National Middle School Cross Country Meet over the weekend in Louisville, Ky. 

The meet invited the best middle school runners from all over the United States.

Hamilton ran his personal best time of 15:15 over the 2.5-mile course, placing him 79th out of 198 runners.

Madison Martin placed ninth overall in the Region 2C meet on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Martin ran a personal best time of 21:24, which earned her a spot at the State meet to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Green Hill Park in Salem. 

Ryan Ghee also ran a personal Best time of 21:27 over the 3.1-mile course in Salem.
