Appomattox County Commonwealth’s Attorney Les Fleet appeared before the board of supervisors Jan. 21 to request additional funding for five employee cell phones.

Fleet said the phones would be for four attorneys and his office manager.

His reason for the request is that the staff is currently using their personal cell phones. Fleet said that any business-related matters on their phones require them to turn them over to accommodate FOIA requests.
