Ken and his 6-year-old black lab

Ken and his 6-year-old black lab named Flint, who is from Middle Creek Search and Rescue, from South Central Pennsylvania, are shown inside the Jamerson Library.

Spooky season has arrived at the library! We have several Halloween and fall displays up in the library to highlight books and movies to get you in the spirit of the season. We are also hosting a free Halloween Raffle open to all ages. A Halloween bucket filled with a Nightmare Before Christmas coloring book, markers, colored pencils, crayons, a crayon sharpener and a handful of candy. One entry per visit, per patron. Drawing to be held on Thursday, Oct. 28; you need not be present to win.

We would like to express our gratitude toward ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) as we have received several heartfelt donations from this friend-style group that supports your local library. Over the last several weeks the library has received a large school of guppies for our tank, movies, books, craft supplies, refreshments for events, and other library-related items.
