It was all Appomattox all evening in a Raiders road game last Friday night with more Raiders fans in attendance than the home side Nelson County fans. After a 50 point first half, the Appomattox second string played most of the second half, adding 21 more points and preserving the shutout.

The visiting team demonstrated creativity in its ways to score, with offense, defense and special teams all getting in on the action. Quarterback Tre Lawing threw for a pair of touchdowns and rushed for a couple more (40 yards, 1 yard). He completed only two of seven passes, but both of those catches ended up as touchdowns: one to JaQuan Walker (50 yards), and the other to Keith Collier (nine yards).
